Invitation to Comment and Question: Comparing Kohut and Adler

You are invited to post your comments and questions, comparing the therapeutic assumption and techniques of Kohut and Adler. It would be helpful to first read chapter 9 (Kohut), then chapter 3 (Adler) of Psychoanalytic Versions of the Human Condition: Philosophies of Life and Their Impact on Practice, edited by Paul Marcus and Alan Rosenberg.
The authors of each chapter were asked to comment on:
- their views of human nature
- their concepts of psychopathology
- their approaches to psychotherapy.
