I read the Journal of Cognitve Therapy, Vol. 11, No.3, 1977, and found Arthur Freeman's article most interesting, especially his list of cognitive techniques. However, most of the authors seem completely unaware of the Socratic-cognitive strategies and treatment stages in Classical Adlerian psychotherapy. It would appear that many of their assumptions about "Adlerian" therapy, are actually references to the very different therapeutic style of Rudolf Dreikurs.
