In the newly published Volume 2 of "The Collected Clinical Works of Alfred Adler", Adler writes: "No little contribution [to the release of children's normally repressed sexuality] in areas where Catholics reside is the practice of confession which disturbs the normal course of sensuous impulses. This is not unlike the masterful way that the Catholic Church has learned to exploit childhood sexuality to further its own goals" (Adler, 1905/2002, p. 47). I am curious about anyone's interpretation of this passage as well as any other specific references to Adlerian writings on the subject. Thanks you, Carroll
