Adler believed that the twin born first usually is considered the "older" one and often takes on more of the older child characteristics. However, the one who is stronger and more active may become the leader of the two. Many twins enjoy the sport of fooling people and will appear to act in an identical way. Some can develop identity issues as they approach adolescence.
