It is not possible to focus on being helpful if you are engaged in protecting yourself. Being helpful is the best weapon against the other person's desire to do harm.

The US Government is considering formation of a
    Department of Peace!

We want to call your attention to some very exciting news! Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has introduced legislation in the US House of Representatives to create a Cabinet level agency dedicated to peacemaking and the study of conditions conducive to both domestic and international peace.

The Department of Peace would focus on nonmilitary peaceful conflict resolutions, prevention of violence, and will promote justice and democratic principles to expand human rights. A Peace Academy, similar to the five military service academies, would be created, its graduates dispatched to troubled areas around the globe to promote nonviolent dispute resolutions.

You can play a big part to help ensure passage of this important legislation. (H.R. 2459) Simply click on the link below and it will assist you in telling your government representatives that you support the formation of the Department of Peace!
