People who are quite dissociative have a particular issue or two that must be addressed during EMDR, and they must have achieved quite a bit of stabilization and containment before doing EMDR, so...

I just reread this and the last bit reads a bit comically. I don't mean that kindly therapists don't screen for dissociative disorders, I mean that even the kindest therapist can overlook this step...
